3-Day Workshop with Dr. Jeff Tarrant, Thomas Feiner and Normen Schack
"I spend a few hours of meditation every day - if we get neuroscience e-based enlightment - then no need for these things" - Dalai Lama
Does your mind often wander when you go to bed?
You love meditating – but you don’t know if you are actually doing it right?
You want to enhance your neurofeedback training and provide effective treatment interventions against AD(H)D or depression?
Then you are welcome to join Dr. Jeff Tarrant, Thomas F. Feiner and Normen Schack on a journey to broaden your mind and open your heart.
Neurofeedback and meditation – both are ways of training your mind and your brain. And both can be combined to a great effect: Achieve deeper states of meditation by getting immediate feedback on your brainwave state. Or improve your neurofeedback sessions by helping your clients to focus.
This workshop is unique in that it doesn’t require you to have any prior knowledge about meditation.
We also welcome Neurofeedback beginners as well as professionals. Neuromeditation can offer something for every level of experience.
The good thing is: Everyone can learn these techniques by using Neurofeedback equipment.
Our first Neuromeditation-Workshop in Germany will also be streamed live, from Oct. 9th - 11th in Baldham, Munich
FAQ:
How can neurofeedback help in meditation practice? Neuromeditation is the application of brain-based principles to meditation practices.
We can determine our meditative style based on the way attention is directed during our meditation, our intention during the practice, and the way the practice impacts the brain. By knowing how you meditate you can choose a style of practice to best match your goals.
By providing the meditator with immediate feedback on their brainwave state, a Neurotherapist can help define and refine the process, potentially increasing motivation, interest, and impact. Incorporating neurofeedback into a meditation practice can potentially help with these concerns. In addition, because meditation and neurofeedback are both involved in the training of mental states, it seems obvious that these practices could be used to enhance each other, either in an attempt to achieve deeper states of meditation or by combining them as a treatment intervention for specific mental health conditions such as ADHD, anxiety, or depression.
What can I expect from this workshop? This is a hands-on, practical workshop. As part of this training, you will receive both 2-channel and sLORETA NeuroMeditation protocols for each meditation style and taught how to modify them for your individual purposes. The morning session each day will be devoted to didactic learning while the afternoon each day will be practicum-style, allowing an opportunity for participants to experience each of the NeuroMeditation protocols. The approaches to EEG NeuroMeditation taught in this workshop can be used immediately to achieve deeper states of meditation or as a treatment intervention for mental health conditions such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, personality disorders, or PTSD.
Note: While we will be primarily using BrainMaster equipment, protocols can be adapted for other systems. We will explore both 2 channel and sLORETA protocols for each style.
Do I have to bring my own neurofeedback equpiment? You may, but you do not necessarily have to bring your own equipment. If you don't own a neurofeedback device yet - no problem. We got enough devices on site for you to try out and work with. In both cases, it would be ideal if you could let us know in advance. Thank you!
