NeuroMeditation Institute Yoga-Open Heart
Yoga is changing your brain, and that can transform your life.
It’s an extraordinary time to study and practice at the intersection of yoga and neuroscience. Neuroscience research is exploding with insights about how meditation, an integral component of yoga, affects your brain. NeuroMeditation Institute Yoga teaches fours styles of practice that affect your nervous system uniquely.
In this third of four workshops, you will learn gentle movement, breathwork, and meditations in the Open Heart style of practice. Open Heart practices increase fast brain waves, gamma, and increase feelings of compassion for yourself and others. Open Heart techniques may be helpful for depression, increasing empathy and gratitude, and taking a different perspective.
You may take this workshop as a stand alone workshop or as part of the series.
This workshop fulfills part of the requirements for NeuroMeditation Institute Yoga certification. Continuing education credits are also available for IAYT and Yoga Alliance.
Instructor: Angela Grace, C-IAYT, ERYT500, C-NMI, holds MS degrees in the fields of neuroscience and education. She is a trainer with the NeuroMeditation Institute and has 15 years of teaching and practice experience. Angela Grace is a continuing education provider for Yoga Alliance, the International Association of Yoga Therapists, and the NeuroMeditation Institute School of Yoga.
